Soft Materials Workgroup

Welcome to the Soft Materials Workgroup

The goal of this group is to bring together researchers with an interest in molecular forces, biophysics, molecular electronics and fluid dynamics to discuss their work and explore collaborations.

At present, we are organizing two different initiatives:

  • The seminar series "Colloid & Soft Matter Bag Lunches", organized by Professor Behrens, brings together once a month researchers from Georgia Tech and Emory to assist two seminars (one technical and the other one with state of the art research and open questions) presented by local speakers.

  • The workshop series "Southeast Meeting of Soft Materials", held twice a year, once at Georgia Tech and once at Emory.  The 1st Southeast Meeting on Soft Materials, on May 9th 2008, had more than 100 participants from Georgia Tech and Emory, 45 short presentations, 3 invited speakers, and 1 keynote speaker.
