1st Southeast Soft Materials Workshop

Welcome to the 1st Southeast Meeting on Soft Materials at Georgia Tech.

It will bring together researchers with an interest in soft materials, molecular forces, biophysics, molecular electronics and fluid dynamics to discuss their work and explore collaborations.

At this workshop we will have 3 invited talks from local researchers as well as Keynote Speaker; Prof. David Weitz from Harvard University.  The rest of the time will be allotted to short presentations (Sound Bites), which are intended to give the audience a flavor for the research topic and techniques used to address the research problem discussed. We really hope and expect that students will attend whether or not their faculty advisors can attend. In the future, we are planning two workshops per year, one in Georgia Tech and one in Emory.

Registration is free but must be submitted before Friday, April 25. Refreshments will be provided during the event.

Also, if you intend to give a Sound Bite (3 to 7 minute summary of your current research), please submit a title before Friday, April 25. Registration and title should be submitted by email.
